Day 01. Arrival Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi, meet Incredible India Tour representative for assisted transfers to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02. Delhi – Gaya Airport – Bodhgaya

After breakfast, in time transfer to the domestic airport to board a flight for Gaya Airport. It is the nearest airport to Bodhgaya, the city of lord Buddha’s awakening and knowledge. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Begin the blissful Bodhgaya tour with a walk through the monasteries and the Great Mahabodhi Temple, dedicated to the Lord Buddha’s enlightenment. Overnight in Bodhgaya.

Day 03. Bodhgaya – The Great Mahabodhi Temple

Begin the sacred day of Buddha’s birth on the full moon of Vesakh, Buddha Poornima by participating in the special congregations related to the teachings of Buddha in Bodhgaya. On this auspicious day, you can even offer prayers to Buddha by participating in the processions accompanied by sacred chanting. If time permits, visit the sacred temple of Bodhgaya and recall the lord’s victory over darkness of illusions in the form of awakening and enlightenment. Overnight in Bodhgaya.

Day 04. Bodhgaya – Varanasi (Drive 242 km / 4 hrs)

Check out Bodhgaya for Varanasi, the city of lights and learning. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for overnight stay. Rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 05. Varanasi – Sarnath

After breakfast, begin the day with an excursion to Sarnath. Sarnath is the site where Lord Buddha became the master for the first time and preached the enlightening sermons of the middle path and the fourfold truth. The site holds importance in the life of every Buddhist which is the main reason why visitors still visit the Deer Park or Mulgandhakuti Vihara to experience the blissful presence of Lord Buddha. During Buddha Poornima Tour, we have specially dedicated a day of sightseeing in Sarnath. During the day, pilgrims and visitors can pay respects to the stupas and temples. Also, one can marvel at the Lion Capital, the original depiction of the Emblem of India at the ASI MUSEUM. Return to Varanasi for overnight stay.

Day 06. Varanasi Sightseeing

Early morning wake up and transfer to the boating ghats of Varanasi for the Boating Session on the River Ganges. The lifeline of Varanasi, River Ganges is the soul of the spiritual city and centers around the early morning rituals as well. People take dips, offer offerings, and pray in gratitude of this holy river. Also, here they come across the ultimate reality of life, i.e. death at the Cremation Ghats, Manikarnika. Rest of the day is free at leisure or shopping. Evening the mass Aarti ritual celebration in Varanasi is scheduled. The riverfronts or Ghats come up to life in this mass spiritual offering to River Ganges. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 07. Varanasi – Onward Destination

In time transfer to the international airport to board a flight back to onward destination and fulfill the reason and the purpose of Buddha Poornima Tour.
